UCLA Dean to Speak at Forum for Seniors

Fernando Torres-Gil, a UCLA dean and former assistant secretary of aging issues for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will be the featured speaker at a discussion of the future of seniors and senior issues today in Ventura.
Although reservations are necessary, the public is welcome to the free event, which is co-sponsored by the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging, the city of Ventura Senior Services and the Ventura Senior Coordinating Council.
Torres-Gil is dean of UCLA’s School of Public Policy and Social Research. He has written four books on gerontology and the politics of aging.
