Grant to Open Jewish Family Service Office
The Jewish Federation/Valley Alliance has announced a $50,000 grant to open a social services office to assist Conejo Valley’s growing Jewish population.
The new Jewish Family Service of Conejo Valley will be at 100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. The office will provide counseling for seniors, teens, parents and divorce at a sliding fee scale.
“With 40,000 Jews now calling Conejo home, I can’t think of a better use for federation dollars,†said Kenneth Warner, fund-raising chairman for the Jewish Federation/Valley Alliance.
The Conejo Valley family service office will be staffed by a licensed clinical social worker and is expected to formally open later this spring. For more information, call 805-379-2273.
