Regarding “A Villa of Their Own” (April 12): If staying in a real home in a foreign country appeals to you, why not carry it one step further and consider the Friendship Force?
We also stay in homes in other countries, but our hosts are there with us to share with us their cuisine, their family and their ideas. Not only that, but they chauffeur us from place to place, proud to show us what they consider to be the best of their local area (no car rentals or driving to worry about).
