Tenet Sells Santa Ana Nursing Home
SANTA ANA — Tenet Healthcare Corp. said it has agreed to sell a 202-bed nursing home, Western Medical Center-Bartlett in Santa Ana, to Sun Mar Healthcare Inc. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Tenet said it expects to close the deal this month. The sale is part of Tenet’s plan to focus on acute-care hospitals.
Under Sun Mar ownership, Western Medical Center-Bartlett will continue to work with Western Medical Center-Santa Ana and Western Medical Center-Anaheim, Tenet’s acute-care hospitals. The transaction doesn’t involve either hospital’s operations, Tenet said.
Sun Mar owns and operates 17 nursing homes in Southern California. Tenet Healthcare owns and operates 124 acute-care hospitals and related health care services.
