The family of a businessman who was fatally stabbed last month in the parking garage under his home offered a $100,000 reward Wednesday for information leading to a conviction in the slaying.
The body of John Kenneth Kim, 60, was found Feb. 26 in the garage under the Marina City Club condominium complex, where Kim lived, said Sgt. Vincent Callier of the Sheriff’s Department.
Members of Kim’s family joined Sheriff Sherman Block at Sheriff’s Department headquarters in Monterey Park to announce the award, which came one day after the County Board of Supervisors offered a $5,000 reward in the case.
When Kim’s body was found, his 1991 white Rolls Royce was missing from the secured parking garage. The car was found Feb. 27 in a parking lot at Los Angeles International Airport.
Anyone with any information about the slaying can call the sheriff’s homicide bureau at (213) 890-5500.
