The Camarillo City Council will decide Wednesday whether to help upgrade a private retirement center.
Heritage House, located at 903 Carmen Drive, wants the city to back its application to the federal government for bonds valued at as much as $4.2 million.
The city would not finance the bonds, but only serve as a conduit for them.
Heritage House is owned by the nonprofit organization Wilshire Retirement Center Heritage House Inc.
Rehabilitation projects under consideration include a new power system, additional air conditioning, replacement of heating units, new window treatments, and new furniture, VCRs and televisions for community rooms.
