Armed Robbers Hit Gas Station, Store
Police in Ventura and Oxnard were looking Wednesday for suspects in unrelated armed robberies from the night before.
The first robbery occurred about 8 p.m. Tuesday when a man walked into a Chevron station at 1816 N. Ventura Road in Oxnard, pointed a semiautomatic handgun at the attendant and demanded money.
The man, dressed in a gray, hooded sweatshirt with a white cap and dark trousers, was last seen running south on Ventura Road.
About two hours later in Ventura, another man walked into Mandell’s Liquor Store at 3915 Telegraph Road, lifted his gray flannel shirt to show the handle of a gun and demanded money. The robber fled on foot.
