The annual National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., is scheduled March 29 to April 12, but the blossoms are expected to peak the week before--sometime between March 21 and 28, Robert DeFeo, chief horticulturist for the National Park Service, said last week. The 12th Annual Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival runs Thursday through next Sunday in New Orleans.
