Former Cal State Fullerton Players Sign With Pro Teams

Cal State Fullerton’s top three starting pitchers last season have signed contracts with the teams that drafted them last week.
Benny Flores, who had a 12-0 record and was the Big West Conference pitcher of the year, said Tuesday he has been assigned to the Boston Red Sox’s rookie league team in Lowell, Mass.
Erasmo Ramirez (11-5) reported this week to the San Francisco Giants’ mini-camp in Scottsdale, Ariz., and is expected to be assigned to the team’s rookie league team in Salem, Ore.
Junior Greg Jacobs (4-4) has not been given a minor league assignment by the Angels.
Senior outfielder Pete Fukuhara, who batted .383 last season, has signed a free-agent contract with the Chicago Cubs.
