A celebration of Ventura County’s 125th anniversary is scheduled for Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Hearing Room.
Supervisors and other county officials will begin by announcing proclamations and resolutions from various government agencies. The event will continue in the central courtyard, between the Hall of Administration and the Hall of Justice, until about 1:30 p.m.
The festivities will include live entertainment, people dressed in period costumes, and a display of photos and old paintings depicting areas in the county. There will also be an overview of the county’s formation upon separating from Santa Barbara County in 1873.
The event is free. For more information, call 654-2251.
