Interlink Touchpad Part of New Sony Notebook PC
Interlink Electronics in Camarillo has announced that its VersaPad touchpad has been integrated into Sony Corp.’s new notebook PC, to be introduced in the United States later this month.
“Sony’s integration of Interlink’s new VersaPad touchpad benchmarks our introduction of this product in the United States,†said Bill Yates, senior vice president of marketing and sales.
The VAIO 505G notebook is the lightest and smallest PC ever introduced by Sony. It weighs less than 3 pounds and measures less than 1 inch thick.
Interlink designs and manufactures computer-pointing devices, including touchpads, pointing sticks and wireless hand-held remote controls with mouse capability.
The company has offices in Camarillo and Tokyo.
