Orange Power Supply Maker Purchased

British electrical group Bowthorpe PLC said Thursday it bought Conversion Equipment Corp., an Orange-based designer and maker of custom power supplies for equipment manufacturers, for $12.4 million cash. Bowthorpe also agreed to pay an additional $1.4 million to Conversion’s two shareholders for a commitment not to compete.
