Christie’s Seeks Photos of Israel
The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles is soliciting entries for a photographic exhibition, “Images of Israel,†to be held at Christie’s Los Angeles in December.
The two-part show--an invitational section of work by professional photographers and a juried division for amateurs--is the final event in the federation’s yearlong celebration of the 50th anniversary of the state of Israel.
Amateur photographers who have taken pictures in Israel and currently reside in the Los Angeles area are invited to submit up to a total of four slides of Israel in one or more of four categories: spirituality, landscape, people and architecture.
A panel of critics and curators will select photographs for the show on a nonsectarian basis.
Entries are due by Sept. 1.
To receive an application form and rules, call Susan Bender at the Jewish Federation: (323) 761-8120.
