Attendance at this year’s Valley Fair increased by 33% over 1997, fair manager Dale Coons said Friday.
More than 52,000 people attended the 3 1/2-day event held in June at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, compared with 36,000 last year, Coons said.
The 52nd annual fair was a success because of added attractions such as famous faces and movie memorabilia at the Celebrity Pavilion, she said.
The 51st District Agricultural Assn. paired with the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley to sponsor the fair.
The 1999 Valley Fair is scheduled for June 10-13 at the Equestrian Center.
