Residents to Discuss Park Safety, Drug Use
- Share via
The East Ventura Community Council will meet Thursday to discuss safety and drug and alcohol use at neighborhood parks.
Council leaders will show slides and photographs of drug and alcohol use in the parks and the problems that result.
The meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Salvation Army Community Center, 650 Petit Ave.
The citizens group is active in a county program aimed at helping community coalitions develop ways to reduce problems associated with alcohol and drug use.
As a part of that effort, the community council hopes to persuade the City Council to ban alcohol consumption in city parks in east Ventura.
