Lake Searched for Missing Officer

Rescuers continued efforts Friday to find an off-duty Fontana police officer who fell from a boat into Lake Perris. Carl “Gil” Murano, 29, was boating with four co-workers Thursday when he was tossed into the water as the boat made a turn, authorities said. “He lost his balance and may have hit his head,” said Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Mark Lohman.
