Holiday Closings

Saturday is Independence Day. Some agencies will be closed on Friday in observance of the holiday. The schedule:
* County offices: Open Friday
* State and federal offices: Closed Friday, except for post offices.
* City offices: Closed Friday, except in Garden Grove and Newport Beach.
* County, state and federal courthouses: Closed Friday.
* County libraries: Open Friday; closed Saturday.
* City libraries: Anaheim, Santa Ana and Newport Beach libraries will be open Friday and closed Saturday. Huntington Beach and Mission Viejo libraries will be closed Friday and Saturday.
* Banks and savings and loans will be open Friday and closed Saturday.
* Colleges: Community colleges, UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton and Chapman University will be closed Friday; Fullerton College and Cypress College also will be closed today.
* Mail: There will be no mail delivery Saturday. All post offices will be closed, and mail deposited in mailboxes that day will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
* Trash: Trash will be picked up on regular schedule.
* Buses: Orange County Transportation Authority buses will operate on holiday schedule Saturday.
* Parks: All city- and county-run parks and recreation facilities will be open during regular hours Saturday.
