Jennifer Azzi scored 23 points to pace San Jose to an 85-76 victory over Atlanta at San Jose Arena before an announced crowd of 12,396, fourth-largest in ABL history.

Portland 77, Seattle 66--Natalie Williams scored 25 points and had 10 rebounds as the Power rallied before 4,348 at Seattle.

Columbus 72, New England 52--Valerie Still had 22 points and eight rebounds as the Quest won their 10th consecutive game before 3,526 at Columbus, Ohio.

ABL President Gary Cavalli reissued his challenge to the WNBA for an all-star game between the new women’s pro basketball leagues, this time saying the ABL would take on all “financial risk and operational†burdens. The WNBA has rejected the offer, however.
