15 Injured in Crash of 2 School Buses
At least 15 students returning to Jordan High School from a senior outing at Knott’s Berry Farm suffered minor injuries Friday night when one school bus sideswiped another as they were traveling westbound on the Artesia Freeway, police said.
The accident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. near Pioneer Boulevard in Artesia, said Bret Williams, a Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesman.
The buses involved were nearly filled to their 60-student capacity and were leading a four-bus caravan, he said. Five ambulances and two paramedic squads were dispatched to accident, and those injured were being treated at the scene late Friday. Williams said most of the injuries were minor.
