Nibbles and Bits
The Laguna Beach Arts Commission is seeking entries in a competition designed to create artist-rendered benches for various locations on city property. Pending City Council and Caltrans approval, the first winner’s design will be installed in front of Madison Square Gardens & Coffee House, 320 N. Coast Highway.
Finalists will each receive $50 and will be required to give a five-minute presentation of their work to the commission. The winning bench is expected to be put in place June 15.
Applications, available at City Hall, must be submitted by 5 p.m. Feb. 6 to Sian Poeschl, arts coordinator, c/o city of Laguna Beach, 515 Forest Ave., Laguna Beach, CA 92651.
