Saddleback Unified’s Hartman Picked to Lead Century Club
MISSION VIEJO — Saddleback Valley Unified School District Supt. Peter A. Hartman was recently elected to serve as president of the national superintendent association known as the Century Club.
It’s a group of 100 superintendents, two representing each state.
“The goal is to exchange ideas about new trends and solutions to problems people are experiencing throughout the United States,†said Hartman, who joined the school district 14 years ago.
Hartman became a member of the organization 25 years ago, when he was superintendent of Hamilton Township Board of Education in New Jersey.
He will replace Benjamin Canada of the Atlanta Public Schools Board of Education in Georgia at the group’s annual meeting next year.
