O.C. Authors Publish New Book in Trilogy

Authors Manfred and Eva Krutein of Irvine have published the latest installment of a trilogy that chronicles the couple’s life in Germany during World War II and their subsequent journey to Chile and the United States.

“America? America, From Immigration to Espionage,� covers their experiences from 1960 to 1974, including Manfred Krutein’s work on a secret U.S. government project to raise a sunken Russian submarine from the Pacific Ocean.

Eva Krutein’s first two books, “Eva’s War: A True Story of Survival� and “Paradise Lost and Found--Odyssey Chile,� chronicle her experiences from 1945 to 1959.
