Oxnard Man Robbed of Car at Gunpoint
OXNARD — A 45-year-old Oxnard man was robbed of his car at gunpoint Friday in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart on North Rose Avenue, authorities said.
Police Officer Brian Woolley said Alfonso Ayala Madrigal was stepping out of his black 1993 Jeep Cherokee about 11:40 a.m. when a man approached and ordered Madrigal back into the car at gunpoint.
Armed with a black handgun, the man got behind the wheel and drove the Cherokee out of the parking lot and south on Rose Avenue.
After robbing Madrigal of $70 in cash and a credit card, the man ordered Madrigal out of the car on Pleasant Valley Road near Hailes Road.
The Jeep was last seen heading west on Pleasant Valley Road.
