Trash Haulers Offer Yule Tree Recycling
In a sure sign that the holidays are coming to a close, trash companies in Ventura County are offering Christmas tree recycling services.
Although the New Year’s holiday will push service back by one day around the county, residents should have no trouble easily disposing of their trees.
Trash collectors offer the following advice:
* Remove tinsel, ornaments and stands before putting your tree out for pickup. Saw it in half to fit in a bin, if possible.
* Flocked trees and those coated with fire-retardant chemicals may not be recycled.
* Consult apartment managers for advice on how to dispose of trees in multifamily dwellings.
