Bomb Kills 4 Boys Playing Cricket
A bomb ripped through a neighborhood cricket game, killing four teenage boys in a southern city hit by election violence. The 15-year-old victims were playing in a park in Coimbatore, about 1,200 miles south of New Delhi, the capital, when they found and opened a bag, triggering a bomb hidden inside. Police did not accuse any group in the blast, which occurred in a neighborhood dominated by Muslims. Bomb blasts killed 54 people and injured about 200 others Saturday, on the eve of voting in parliamentary elections. The attacks were blamed on two radical Muslim groups trying to disrupt campaigning by Hindu nationalists.
