Instructor Lauded for Mock Trial Work
Michael Bach, an instructor in Golden West College’s Criminal Justice Training Center, has been honored by the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Orange County for his volunteer work in the group’s high school Mock Trial Program.
Bach received the Outstanding Service Award for his work recruiting volunteers to serve as courtroom monitors for the 17th Orange County High School Mock Trial Competition.
In a short period of time, Bach recruited and trained 30 student volunteers from several of his courses.
More than 1,000 high school students representing 45 Orange County high schools participated in the mock trials, held last November and December at the Orange County Superior Court in Santa Ana.
