Mills Corp. and Ogden Corp. said they have formed a joint venture to buy and operate food courts and kiosks at Mills’ malls and at airports and other sites. Ogden is a New York-based airport, sports and entertainment facility support services firm. Arlington, Va.-based Mills said the venture is an opportunity to expand its expertise in large-scale factory outlet and discount shopping center developments to other venues while expanding the entertainment offerings at its malls, which include multiplex movie theaters, theme restaurants and arcades. The company, with eight such malls in operation, including Ontario Mills in California, has announced aggressive expansion plans. Mills shares fell 31 cents to close at $26.13 on the New York Stock Exchange; Ogden shares rose 50 cents to $27.25, also on the NYSE.
