A New York doctors group filed arbitration proceedings against Oxford Health Plans, accusing the health insurer of unnecessary delays in paying them for seeing Oxford patients. The New York County Medical Society, which represents 5,000 doctors in Manhattan, accused the insurer of “a pattern of delays, denials and detours from acceptable practice” in failing to pay doctors.
