Fetus Found in Alley; Police Seek Mother

SANTA ANA — Police are searching for the mother of an aborted fetus found inside a garbage bag in an alley, authorities said Saturday.
The 20-week fetus died of natural causes as early as Thursday morning, Police Sgt. Bill Scheer said. Police discovered it in the 1700 block of Cypress Avenue about 7 a.m. Friday, Scheer said.
The fetus’ death could have been the result of a miscarriage; police are seeking the mother for questioning, Scheer said.
