The city recently named Brenda Green as its new city clerk. Green replaces Darleen Cordova, who has taken over the city clerk’s position in Los Alamitos. Stanton City Manager Terry Matz said officials were impressed with Green’s knowledge of the political process and experience. She has served as the executive assistant to former state Sen. Rob Hurtt. Now, as city clerk, Green will be responsible for recording the city’s affairs, keeping public records and assisting the City Council.
