DUBLIN, N.H. — An 89-year-old Dublin woman has resolved to start 1999 with a walk across the country in support of campaign finance reform.
Doris Haddock, known as “Granny D,” plans to start Jan. 1 from Pasadena’s Rose Bowl and hopes to be in Washington in October.
“I’ll just walk 10 miles a day,” she said.
Her son, James Haddock, has set up a Web site for his mother, www.grannyd.com, showing her route.
