Bridgford Foods Corp.: The Anaheim producer of convenience food products said net income for the fourth quarter of the 1998 fiscal year increased 18% to $2.6 million, or 23 cents a share, from $2.2 million, or 19 cents a share, for the like period last year. Sales for the quarter ended Oct. 30 advanced 2% to $35.2 million from $34.4 million.
Net income for the year reached a record $8.7 million, or 77 cents a share, 32% higher than the $6.6 million, or 58 cents a share, posted for the prior fiscal year. Sales rose 5% to a record $134.8 million from $127.9 million.
