* UC IRVINE (2-3) at NO. 8 ARIZONA (4-0), 6:30 p.m., KUCI (88.9)--Irvine is coming off a victory over Northern Arizona, the defending Big Sky Conference champion, but this is a tremendous jump in competition and takes a giant leap in faith to think the Anteaters have a chance. Irvine will be without 6-foot-8 center Stan Divranos, who had an MRI on his back Friday and did not make the trip. Arizona forward Eugene Edgerson is eligible after serving a one-game suspension for elbowing Brigham Young’s Bret Jepsen in a Nov. 28 game. Guard Jason Terry is averaging 40 minutes and 23 points to lead the Wildcats. The Anteaters may have a bigger problem in containing 6-11 A.J. Bramlett, who is averaging 16 points.
