HUNTINGTON BEACH
Dozens of residents who oppose a proposal to build a Wal-Mart on the vacant Crest View School site are expected to cram City Hall for a public hearing tonight. The Planning Commission previously denied approval for Wal-Mart to erect a 150,000-square-foot building at Beach Boulevard and Talbert Avenue after neighbors said they feared noise and traffic. The City Council meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 2000 Main St. Information: (714) 536-5227.
