* Re “Stiff Laws Keep San Marino Tidy,” Dec. 1: Are you tired of those bothersome restrictions in San Marino as to what you can and cannot do? Come to Los Angeles where it’s pretty much OK to do whatever you please.
Do you want to park your car on your front lawn? No problem! Do your dogs bark constantly day and night? They all do here! Do you prefer to throw your trash on the ground instead of in a waste can? Welcome! You’re not allowed to spit on the sidewalks in San Marino? Neighbors around here urinate on our sidewalks.
So stricter enforcement of local regulations and neighbors who actually care lead to higher property values? Go figure!
