Aiming to become more competitive with other amusement parks, Knott’s Berry Farm opens its new 12-story roller coaster to the public at 12:30 p.m. today. GhostRider, the tallest and longest wooden coaster in the West, is the biggest attraction built in the park’s 79-year history.
The ride makes more noise but is also more flexible than the metal coasters. The two-minute ride features a 108-foot plunge and travels up to 56 mph.
