Lancaster defeated the High Desert Mavericks, 4-3, in a California League game Saturday at High Desert. With one game to play, the JetHawks (77-62) remained one game ahead of Modesto (76-63) in the race for the Valley Division wild-card playoff berth. Modesto beat San Jose, 4-3, Saturday.

Pacific scored four runs in the fourth inning and went on to an 8-3 victory over the Mission Viejo Vigilantes in a Western Baseball League game at Mission Viejo.
