Mean-spirited things I want to say about the Dodgers:
It’s a good thing Tommy Lasorda is looking for a new GM. The other one ain’t doing so hot.
Has anyone seen a change of expression on Glenn Hoffman’s face this year? Would you say he’s in way over his head?
Bobby Bonilla has to be the most overpaid player in the majors. No wonder he’s always smiling.
If you love the beauty of slow motion, watch Eric Karros run.
You’d think that anyone who has watched hundreds and hundreds of pitches, like Charles Johnson has, that this guy could hit one once in a while.

After the Dodgers’ season ends, and not soon enough, Fox officials will review their botched trades, mismanagement of management and the disappointment of their rookie year.
When all is said and done, and in the word of one Fox associate, from the Dodgers’ offices you will hear a collective “Doh!”

While the Dodgers’ on-field ineptitude continues without any sign of improvement--Dreifort nails Galarraga, leaving the game in the hands of an untried rookie, Mondesi strikes out with the bases loaded, Hubbard gets picked off first by the catcher with the bases loaded--there we see Tom Lasorda, on national TV no less, heavy-lidded and snoozing right through the early stages of the game against the Braves. I can’t think of a better metaphor for this entire 1998 season.
Earth to Rupert Murdoch, this is your wake-up call!
