TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Bell Atlantic Corp. and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers reached agreement on a new two-year contract similar to one the company reached a day earlier with the Communications Workers of America. The new IBEW contract, which covers about 15,000 workers in New York and New England, includes increases of 7.8% in base pay and 20% in pension benefits over the two years.
