Social Security
Kevin Sweeney (letter, Aug. 2) would “rather invest or spend that money for the benefit of [his] family.†He also does not want to finance his parents’ generation’s retirement.
Mr. Sweeney, if your investments go sour, whom do you expect will take care of you in your retirement years? Don’t look to me or the government. And with the example you are setting, don’t look to your children. Be thankful you have Social Security.
