LANCASTER — A 33-year-old Lancaster man was killed in a barroom brawl late Friday night in a remote part of the Antelope Valley.
The victim, Humberto Galvez, was stabbed to death in the parking lot of the Santa Fe Cafe, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. Witnesses told authorities the fight broke out just before 11 p.m. in a room packed with customers.
Shortly after arriving at the bar, Galvez and two friends apparently got into an argument with three bar patrons over where they were going to sit, Deputy Thomas Kerfoot said.
“A fight ensued,” said Deputy Isaac Gonzalez. “It was three on three, and it started in the bar and moved outside.”
Galvez was stabbed several times times, Gonzalez said. Galvez’s two friends were also stabbed but were treated at a local hospital and released, he said.
Sheriff’s deputies are searching for three men in their late 20s or early 30s to question about the incident.
