Health, Safety Fair to Include Free Exams

The “Unidos y Saludables” Health and Safety Fair, to be held today at Centro Maravilla at 4716 Cesar Chavez Ave., will provide a festive ambience for people interested in free health examinations and tips on living safer lives.
Medical and public safety experts will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the third annual event, offering safety tips and a variety of health tests for people of all ages.
“For many families, this may be their only opportunity to get those important health screenings” said state Sen. Hilda Solis (D-El Monte), an event sponsor.
Experts will provide clues on kidnapping prevention, car seat safety, earthquake preparedness and fire safety.
