Brewers’ Juden on Shopping List

The Angels are expected to announce today the acquisition of veteran pitcher Jeff Juden through waivers. If the Angels fail to reach an agreement with the Milwaukee Brewers on a minor league player to complete the purchase, a source said, the Brewers are willing to accept the $25,000 waiver price.

Juden, a 27-year-old right-hander who has been with seven major league teams, has a 7-11 record with a 5.53 earned-run average. He was 5-1 in mid-May but has lost 10 of his last 12 decisions, including seven straight. In six of his last seven starts, he has given up five runs or more. He started against the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night and gave up five runs in 3 1/3 innings of a 5-1 loss.
