New Space for 20th Century
Construction is scheduled to begin Thursday in Woodland Hills on a 273,000-square-foot corporate office tower to be occupied in large part by 20th Century Industries Inc.
The 11-story office building, called 20th Century Plaza, is being developed by Tishman International Cos. and is the first new project in Warner Center in nearly 10 years, according to Alan D. Levy, chairman of Tishman, who said construction is expected to be completed in late 1999.
The project will expand the corporate headquarters of 20th Century, which occupies approximately 230,000 square feet of space in the office tower next to the site of the new facility. 20th Century will lease about 180,000 feet in the new building at 6301 Owensmouth Ave. The auto insurer’s combined headquarters will house approximately 1,200 employees and consolidate several 20th Century regional offices, according to Tishman.
