Unspoiled Thailand
Regarding Thailand’s Ko Samui (“Kool Ko,†July 20 and a letter (“Cooler Koh Samui,†Aug. 10): The neighboring island just north on your map is Ko Phangan, which is still unspoiled, lovely, quiet, with excellent small restaurants and very friendly people. You can stay at a small guest house (Buakow Inn) for $14 a night that is clean as a whistle (including private bath). It’s charming!
