NO FEAR
David Bowie may have titled a recent song “I’m Afraid of Americans,†but he’s got two of them prominently featured on an upcoming EP of remixes of that track. Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, which co-headlined a tour with Bowie in 1995, did five of the six remixes on the EP, adding his own vocals to one and bringing in Ice Cube to do a rap on another.
The set, which features a sixth remix by techno artist Photek (Rupert Parkes), is due in stores Oct. 14. A video is to be shot soon, with Reznor making a guest appearance. The original version of the song, co-written by Bowie and Brian Eno, is on the “Earthling†album from earlier this year and is being performed on Bowie’s current concert tour, which continues in North America for another month.
