Confident LeClair Joins Flyers

John LeClair practiced with the Philadelphia Flyers, ending a nine-day holdout without a new deal but with confidence he would get one. “I expect it’ll get done as soon as possible,” said LeClair, one of the league’s most undervalued players after signing a $7-million, five-year contract in 1995. . . . Vyacheslav Kozlov, a 25-year-old Russian left wing who had 23 goals last season for Stanley Cup champion Detroit, agreed to a three-year contract with the Red Wings reported to be worth $5 million over three years. . . . Dallas Stars’ center Mike Modano has rejected a six-year, $26-million contract offer. . . . The Edmonton Oilers began poring over a bid rumored to be worth $70 million from local investors vying to keep the cash-strapped team in Canada. Edmonton Investors Group Ltd. revealed its offer Wednesday.
