Bomb Injures 50 in Divided Mostar

From Times Wire Reports

At least 50 people were injured, 25 of them seriously, when a bomb exploded in the divided Bosnian city of Mostar, police said. The bomb went off outside a police station in the Croat-controlled western part of the city. “This was the biggest explosion we have seen so far in the city,” said a duty officer at the police station. He said that three policemen were among the injured and that 30 cars had been burned out or damaged by the blast. Buildings in the area had also been badly hit, he added. International police monitors and the NATO-led peace force confirmed the explosion but had no other information.
