Weber State Is Too Much for Northridge
Cal State Northridge saw its two-match winning streak come to an end with a 15-10, 11-15, 15-10, 15-2 Big Sky Conference loss Thursday at Weber State.
The Matadors (12-10, 4-7) were outhit, .240 to .137, in the match, connecting for 53 kills in 183 attempts with 28 errors. The Wildcats (10-13, 2-8) had 77 kills with 30 errors in 196 attempts.
Nicki Midwin led Northridge with 13 kills, while Kristin Sigel had 11 kills and 26 digs. No other player reached double-digits in digs for Northridge.
Holli Sierra also had 11 kills for the Matadors, hitting .400 with only three errors in her 20 attempts.
Melissa Leonard paced Weber State with 21 kills and three service aces, while Liz Weston hit .545 with 20 kills and two errors in 33 attempts. Weston also had 10 digs and four blocks, and JoLynne Godfrey contributed 17 kills and 17 digs to the victory.

The Master’s d. La Sierra, 15-7, 15-6, 15-7--The Mustangs (13-17) used a balanced attack as Amber Cross, Kristi Ralston and Misty May collected five kills each and Christie Williams had 18 assists in a nonconference match at La Sierra.
