Renovations Coming to Flower Street Park
The contributions may seem small, but they will be welcome additions to the city’s Flower Street Park.
New playground equipment and fencing will be among the improvements to the park, which will begin undergoing renovations Saturday.
Santa Ana city officials, community members, and representatives of the Anaheim Angels are expected to attend the kickoff.
The Angels, who have contributed to the refurbishment project, also expect to hold baseball clinics at the park, said spokesman Bill Robertson.
Next spring, the park will be renamed Angels Community Park.
City spokeswoman Belem Solis said that once completed, the value of park renovations may reach more than $100,000.
Saturday’s event takes place at 914 W. 3d St. at 9 a.m.
